Two large Whitworth groups will share the stage for “Hope: Old and New,” the university’s fall concert at The Fox. The Community Band has more than 70 members and is led by Kyla Fague and Richard Strauch, DMA. Scott Davis directs the Community Chorale, which brings together more than 100 singers.

The ensembles draw participants from several parts of the Whitworth community, including students, graduates, instructors and other employees. People from beyond the university also perform with the groups, making the concert a broad community production.

Tickets cost $14 for general admission and $12 for seniors, while students are admitted at no charge. Purchases cannot be refunded. Tickets are available through the venue’s box office at 1001 W Sprague Ave or by calling 509-624-1200.

Venue security visually checks most bags. Only clutches measuring 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches are exempt from that screening. Bigger bags must remain at the coat check in the North Gallery throughout the performance.
