Toddler Storytime Set for Deer Park Library
The Oct. 27 program combines books, songs and activities for children ages 18 to 36 months.

Toddler Play & Learn Storytime begins at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in the Meeting Room, Deer Park. The program is designed for children ages 18–36 months. Its first 20 minutes feature picture books, songs and fingerplays. Another 30 minutes of hands-on activities explores early ideas in math, science and literacy.
Parents and caregivers can join their children in play throughout the session. The program builds literacy, social development and STEAM skills, including science, technology, engineering, art and math. These abilities help prepare children for kindergarten, and families can keep exploring the same concepts at home. Children can also receive a library card.
Additional sessions are scheduled for November 3, November 10, November 17 and November 24, 2026. December dates are December 1, December 8, December 15, December 22 and December 29, 2026. Because library space is limited, groups of 10 or more people should call before attending. Spokane County Library District welcomes people of all abilities. Accommodation requests, including hearing assistance and ASL requests, can be made by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200 at least five business days beforehand.
