Baby Storytime Set for Spokane Valley Families
The 20-minute session includes books, rhymes, movement and music, followed by time for babies to explore.
Spokane Valley families with babies from birth through 18 months can attend Baby Play & Learn Storytime on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 9:30 AM. The gathering will be held in the Diane E. Zahand Meeting Room East. It begins with 20 minutes of picture books, rhymes, bouncing and singing to help babies experience language.
The program then shifts to 30 minutes of play using toys and activities suited to babies’ ages. Parents and caregivers can participate alongside their children, with the session supporting early literacy, STEAM learning and social development connected to kindergarten readiness. Families can continue those activities at home, and parents may also get a library card for their child.
Library space is limited, so groups of 10 or more people should call ahead. Spokane County Library District says its events are intended to welcome people of all abilities. Accommodation requests, including hearing assistance or ASL, should be emailed to comments@scld.org or called in to 509.893.8200 at least five business days before an in-person event.
