North Spokane Library Hosts Preschool Play & Learn
The October 27 storytime includes books, songs and hands-on activities for children ages 3-5.

North Spokane’s Meeting Room will host Preschool Play & Learn Storytime at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The free session is designed for children ages 3-5 and includes time for parents and caregivers to participate alongside them.
The program begins with 30 minutes of picture books, singing and fingerplay. A second half offers hands-on activities connected to preschool math, science, art and literacy. These experiences introduce skills children use in kindergarten, including early literacy, STEAM and social development, while giving families ideas to continue exploring together at home.
The library also highlights children’s library cards as a lasting gift. Seating is limited, so groups of 10 or more should call before attending. Additional Tuesday sessions are listed for November 3, 10, 17 and 24; December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2026. Spokane County Library District says its events welcome people of all abilities. Accommodation requests, including hearing assistance or ASL, should be made at least five business days ahead by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
