Toddler Play & Learn Storytime begins at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, in the Cheney Meeting Room. The program is designed for children ages 18-36 months, with parents and caregivers joining them throughout the session.

The first 20 minutes feature picture books, songs and fingerplays. A 30-minute activity period follows, giving toddlers an introduction to math, science and literacy through play. The program also develops STEAM, literacy and social abilities that support kindergarten readiness. Families can keep exploring those areas at home, and children may also receive their own library card.

Additional Tuesday sessions are scheduled for November 24 and December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, all in 2026. Library space is limited, and groups of at least 10 people should phone before arriving. Accommodations are available for in-person programs, including support for hearing, ASL or ADA needs. Requests must be made at least five business days beforehand by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
