Argonne’s Meeting Room will host Family Play & Learn Storytime on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The session is for children ages 2-5 and their families, with a full hour divided between shared reading and hands-on discovery.

The first 30 minutes will include picture books, songs and fingerplays. During the next 30 minutes, children and their parents or caregivers can explore math, science, art and literacy together through play. The activities introduce early literacy, STEAM and social abilities connected to kindergarten, while giving families ideas they can continue exploring at home.

Storytime also creates time for adults to participate alongside their children. A child’s library card can be another lasting gift. Because library space is limited, groups with 10 or more people should call ahead. Spokane County Library District says its events are intended to welcome people of all abilities. For an accommodation request involving hearing assistance, ASL or another ADA concern, email comments@scld.org or call 509.893.8200 at least five business days before the event.
